About the Role:

Act as interface to patients to perform service-related activities (Troubleshooting, Warranty Decisions, Complaint Handling, Sales Orders, RGA's, event registration, candidate requests, etc.). Accountable for complying with all Regulatory requirements with respect to complaint handling and maintaining the accuracy of the data within BSC business systems.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • System installation
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Equipment upgrades
  • Electronic troubleshooting & component replacement
  • In-servicing/training medical personnel
  • Reporting of field activities
  • Drafting written communication for letters as well as respond to e-mails from patients and physicians.
  • Troubleshooting of laptops, tablets and other programming equipment used by BSC sales reps and hospital staff to program implantable devices.
  • Troubleshooting of external devices with patients and sales reps, including processing associated RGA's and sales orders (e.g., warranty, out-of-pocket, etc.) in SAP as well as documenting complaints in NetRM complaint handling system.
  • Assisting with general inquiries and labeling regarding Neuromodulation products, documenting complaints in NetRM complaint handling system and following up.
  • Reporting all other complaints regarding Neuromodulation products and documenting in NetRM complaint handling system for follow-up.
  • Handling all overflow call types from Patient Care Reps, including: Field information, order and RGA requests from patients; Update contact information; Send out replacement ID cards; Connect patient candidates to local reps, physicians and ambassadors; Register patients for local events Design and carry out various field studies related to various market released products.
  • Provide on call coverage after hours for all patient care call types.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including special projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with two-year college degree (AA) preferred with a Biomedical or electronics major (equivalent combination of education/experience accepted)
  • Able to work independently and responsibly with some supervision & manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Excellent computer networking, equipment troubleshooting, administrative and communication skills.
  • Familiar with all standard electronic test equipment, including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.
  • Two years minimum field service equipment, two years minimum preferred in medical equipment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 85% of the time.
  • Ability to travel at a moment's notice and for multiple days without constraints.
  • Have a vehicle for service five years or newer and meet insurance requirements for business.
  • Have a clean driving record.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including special projects.
  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy items up to 75lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Technical Field Service, Biomedical, or Military technical MOS
  • Electrophysiology, Laser, Medical Imaging, or Cath Lab technical/Clinical experience
