Maritime Logistics and Transportation SME

The Opportunity:

As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.

As a Maritime Logistics and Transportation SME, you'll provide support in developing military capabilities for multiple combatant command and coalition clients. You'll provide functional, domain, and regional expertise for development of future joint concepts. You'll apply advanced consulting skills and technical expertise to develop the Joint Warfighting Concept and associated supporting documents. You'll bring in-depth understanding and expertise to DoD Planning, Maritime Operations, and Anti-Access and Area Denial operations. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems that align with and support national defense and military strategy.You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes.

You'll guide the work we do for the Marine Corps and the solutions we deliver.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience with military operations at senior level

  • 4+ years of experience with Joint Concept development

  • Experience with Maritime Operations and A2AD Operations

  • Experience with a Combatant Command or senior Service Staff

  • Knowledge of DoD Joint Operational Planning process

  • Knowledge of Force Design

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Joint Force Development and Design activities preferred

  • Knowledge of National Security Policy

  • Knowledge of command relationships and interorganizational cooperation, including multi-national, interagency, and non-governmental agency coordination

  • Ability to effectively interpret the intent of a client's needs and help shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines and continual client delivery

  • Graduate of Joint Professional Military Education Phase II

  • Graduate of a Senior Service college, advanced warfighting school, including SAMS, SAWS, or JAWS, or War College preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
