Summary:

Responsible for the direction and commercialization of innovative products across the International business. Provides strategic guidance and leads the implementation of innovation in markets across EMEA, Asia, Latin America, Caribbean and Mexico. This role will be responsible for creating innovation processes. and ensuring process adherence is consistent across regions. The incumbent will have also have direct ownership of innovation within Canada. Partners and guides Innovation Business Leads and Product Owner to ensure consistent training and education and application of innovation best practices. This role will work directly with the GM - International, Regional VPs/General Managers and VP, Marketing and local regional Innovation Business Leads to identify and prioritize new brand and brand optimization opportunities. Also, responsible for leading execution for renovation projects. Leads cross-functional teams across multiple global regions and partners effectively with corporate Modesto partners in Finance, Supply Chain, Co-Manufacturing, and Product Development, with the goal of bringing new initiatives from idea to market. Manages stakeholder expectations and delivers updates to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis, including the CEO. Partners with the broader organization and understands Agile principles in order to provide direction to the product and sprint backlogs to drive the successful execution of the Innovation prioritized initiatives. This role will have direct reports to include the Innovation Business Leads and Product Owner/INPD team and have overall ownership of the Agile process for Int'l.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as the lead across the International Business Unit (BU) to commercialize innovative ideas and move them from ideas to commercialization/market
  • Effectively partners with local innovation Business Leads within the egions
  • Serves as the International BU Innovation representative with cross-functional teams and AGILE team, representing/reinforcing new brand development perspective throughout the product realization cycle
  • Manages and leads execution for product renovation.
  • Balances and deploys resources to support Innovation, as needed.
  • Oversees the handoff from product incubation through brand commercialization.
  • Leverages knowledge of global marketplace and business acumen to ensure alignment with the International BU OGSM.
  • Partners closely with leads within the US Innovation team to understand innovation pipeline & priorities and assess viability for Int'l BU.
  • Develops and manages roadmap and prioritization model for new brand initiatives.
  • Works with regional Innovation Business Leads to evaluate project risks and minimize potential impact.
  • Partners with Marketing & Finance leads to estimate financials for new product implementation and partners with Regional VP/GM to align on financials
  • Responsible for oversight of the overall Int'l innovation budget and providing guidance to the Business Leads to ensure budget adherence and escalating issues to BU leadership
  • Oversees project charter creation. Provides expertise and leadership in defining problems, writing objectives and other aspects of charter management
  • Works in partnership with the regional innovation Business Leads to manage and provide direction over the roadmap across all new brand development projects
  • Partners with regional leadership to develop metrics to manage and track benefits, adoption, and risks to new brand development operations
  • Partners with local market leads to analyze data for new brands in test, identifies barriers to success and partners with the in-market team to iterate and re-deploy
  • Reviews, and when appropriate, accepts and prioritizes feedback and new requirements from stakeholders
  • Leads, monitors and directs, activities of Innovation Business Leads within the regions to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget/financial constraints
  • Leads partnership with cross-functional partners to include Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Comanufacturing, Liquid Development to bring innovation & renovation ideas to life Serves as lead to educate cross-functional partners on innovative product needs and influences them to prioritize innovative brands that align with the International BU OGSM
  • Oversees team to ensure all projects are delivered by deadlines and identifies and escalates any roadblocks or issues to appropriate stakeholders/business leaders as well as provide solutions
  • Oversees team to ensure all aspects of the project are properly documented
  • Leads team through capability building and continuous improvement exercises to reduce time to market and ensure best practice
  • Supports adoption of innovation practices and methodologies across the International Business Unit
  • Participates in the development of and implements a successful vision/strategy, through strong leadership skills
  • Develops and approves recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works crossfunctionally to improve processes within the organization
  • Oversees and may handle projects that have short to long term focus *Balances planning efforts with day-to-day tasks/demands
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of supply chain, marketing, creative, operations or business to business customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master's degree plus 8 years of supply chain, marketing, creative, operations or business to business customer service reflecting increasing levels of responsibility: OR High School Diploma or State Issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of supply chain, marketing, creative, operations or business to business customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experienced in leading cross functional business and technical teams to provide timely issue resolution.
  • Proven experience synthesizing insights and analytics to drive customer focused growth plans.
  • Culturally sensitive, proven ability to build credibility and excel in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking ability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in planning, influencing, organizing, and leadership.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tactics while developing and executing strategy.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Management or Marketing concentration plus 12 years of marketing, consumer/product or new product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or MBA degree plus 10 years of marketing, consumer/product or new product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience taking ideas from conception to market and working in the creation of products or brandswhere there is a level of complexity in the product or brand itself and where technology is key to success.
  • Experience utilizing the various ceremonies and artifacts used in AGILE.
  • Skilled in building relationships with a diverse set of people including senior level executives.
  • Strong facilitation, project management and presentation skills.
  • Effective planning, organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience creating project work plans.
  • Experience working on projects that have strategic impact and improving the process efficiency of a company.
  • Experience helping drive the resolution of business issues in a complex team environment.
  • Experience simultaneously working on and completing multiple assignments on a timely basis.

Compensation

  • Hiring Pay Range: $174,450- $290,750/Year
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
