Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join the Design team at Koch Heat Transfer. As part of this role, you will collaborate with fellow team members and engineers to develop comprehensive design packages using Inventor and AutoCAD. The successful candidate must possess the ability to adhere to customer requirements, technical specifications, and standard procedures. Attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and continuous prioritization are essential for this position. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude are also necessary to collaborate with team members and leadership from various departments.

What You Will Do

  • Perform design drafting duties and generate accurate drawings on a project with a focus on quality, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Follow mechanical design standards and customer specifications.
  • Manage these drawings in a data management software.
  • Communicate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design and fabrication problems.
  • Collaborate with team members to create drawings standards to better improve accuracy, standardization, and time efficiency.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Design/drafting experience in equipment design.
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD.
  • Previous experience using Inventor or similar 3D design software.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, and Excel

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Previous experience with Inventor, ProEngineer or SolidWorks.
  • Experience reading, understanding, and following detailed customer specifications.
  • Experience working with heat exchangers and/or pressure vessels.
  • Working design knowledge of API 663, API 660 & ASME Sect. VIII, Div.1
