Job Description

Heat Press Associate

Assure value added services are applied to customer garments accurately, on time and in accordance with Galls, LLC quality standards. Production (Heat Press) Associates work together to perform various duties, including plotting, prepping, marking and pressing. Associates utilize several pieces of machinery including heat press equipment, computers, tape machines, scan tools, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Execute all job tasks consistently by following established standard operating procedures.
  • Check all work for accuracy.
  • Identify and communicate delays or problems that might keep a specific job from being completed timely.
  • Meet individual daily productivity and quality requirements and work as a team to accomplish departmental goals efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Restock workstation with appropriate supplies as needed. Maintain 5 S Standards.
  • Follow preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Comply with all safety standards for Production operation. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with company, OSHA and other applicable regulations to assure a safe workplace.
  • Work Overtime hours during the week and weekend as needed to meet business needs
  • Complete all physical components of job to include lifting, bending, twisting, carrying and squatting as needed and working in non-environmentally controlled warehouse.
  • Stand or sit as required for position for full shift.
  • Cross train in other areas of VAS as business needs dictate

WHAT YOU BRING

  1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at level required to understand and execute instructions for daily tasks and to read orders in order to accurately apply the value-added service requested
  2. Ability to utilize Radio Frequency Gun (RF Gun) as required
  3. Basic Computer Skills with ability to learn new software to include GQ (internal order management system)
  4. Good Manual Dexterity
  5. Highly organized
  6. Excellent hand-eye coordination
  7. Strong attention to detail with ability to perform quality work requiring extremely close tolerances
  8. Ability to thread needle and distinguish colors.
  9. Perform repetitive functions for long periods of time
  10. Ability to work under tight deadlines
  11. Ability and willingness to work overtime as business needs dictate to include flexing schedule throughout the week to come in earlier or stay later as well as working the weekend
  12. Ability to comply with company attendance policy
  13. Ability to lift to 50 pounds, the ability to sit or stand for the full shift, the ability to execute frequent bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying and squatting when completing production processes, obtaining product or basic maintenance of machines.
